JAMES WELLS ARCHITECTS - London, England, UK
DESCRIPTION
“JWA, founded by James Wells is a dedicated team of architects who relish the challenge of dealing with technically demanding schemes. The practice focuses on high quality architectural and interior design work.
At the core of the practice is a commitment to delivering the right solution for each brief. JWA prides itself on keeping minds and options open to a range of design influences and approaches. Not prescribing one design theme or ideology, the hallmark of a JWA project is how good the space feels. This approach results in a freshness and originality which makes the work stand out and at the same time the buildings possess a sense of grace and longevity.
James studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture and then over 15 years worked with Quinlan Terry, Green Lloyd Architects and Stanton Williams. James has been running his own practice in London since 1995. While James is adept at working in an eclectic range of idioms, his design signature is a clear and direct form, quickly arrived at through fluid freehand sketches. Elegant proportions and considered use of natural and artificial light come to the fore in all projects. James takes pride in the number of repeat commissions the practice has had from leading commercial clients, testament to the care and thoroughness the practice devotes to all work.” James Wells Architects
